UX Designer

We're a Notion-focused agency that handles a wide range of engineering work for enterprise clients. We're looking for a versatile full-stack developer to join our small team on a contract basis, working directly with the Head of Engineering. The work is varied, and that's the point. One week you might be building a backend sync service that runs on a server, the next you're writing a one-off TypeScript script to interact with the Notion API, and the week after you're using internal tooling to migrate a client's data from another platform into Notion. You may also prototype product concepts using AI-assisted development tools. The tech stack changes between clients and projects. We need someone who's comfortable with that and can ramp up quickly regardless of the tooling. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Build backend services, scripts, and integrations across varying tech stacks - Work with the Notion API and other third-party APIs to build client solutions - Run data migrations using internal tooling - Prototype and build tools, sometimes leveraging AI development workflows - Own tasks end-to-end: scoping, building, testing, and delivering - Communicate clearly and proactively through async channels (Slack, Loom, Notion) IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE - 3 to 5 years of experience shipping real products across the stack - The ability to quickly pick up unfamiliar languages, frameworks, and APIs - A strong sense of independence. You take a problem, figure out the approach, and deliver without needing step-by-step direction - Excellent communication skills. You write clear messages, provide context upfront, flag blockers early, and ensure others are informed about status or intent - Initiative.
